If you didn't know already, DHL, a Deutsche international enterprise, is one of the most well-known shipping, freight, and logistics company in the world. In fact, DHL is so well known that it even ships in countries such as Iraq . Well, you have to ask, how come DHL tracking and shipping operates in countries like Cuba or North Korea? Isn't DHL sactioned by the US embargo? So an American customer sending a package to Europe from a DHL New York satellite will be able using DHL Package Tracking to locate the status of the package worldwide. The DHL satellites anywhere around the world can communicate with DHL's headquarters such as London in Europe, Florida in America, and Singapore in the Asia Pacific region.

majority of DHL's business is freight forwarding/consolidating. At the end of the day, its always the shipping lines that makes global commerce possible. I should know, I work for Maersk.
